Carex vulpinoidea, Fox Sedge
Fox Sedge, Carex vulpinoidea, forms mid-size mounds of Kelley-green. The plethora of narrow green foliage on this native sedge has a delicate wispy texture. One of the most widespread sedges, Fox Sedge will naturalize areas that stay consistently moist like around ponds, streams or wet, open woodland.
Cute brown flowers appear in summer that look like fox tails.
