Carex albicans White-Tinged Sedge
A easy to grow Missouri native, White Sedge, Carex albicans, grows beautifully in shady areas. Soft, thread-like green leaves form round clumps that grow 15-20″ tall. In May 20″ flowering stems appear. Also known as Oak Sedge.
Easy to grow in moist or dry soil. It makes a lovely ground cover giving year round interest. Best if planted in groups.
Plant in full shade to part shade. Cut back once a year in late winter.
