Japanese Painted Fern, Athyrium Pictum was awarded one of the world’s top plant awards, Perennial Plant Of The Year for its outstanding qualities. Silver fronds with with a distinct dusty purple stripe up the center create an interesting glowing effect in the garden. The lacy foliage slowly spreads via rhizomes to create a lovely dense ground cover.
