Astilbe Mighty Chocolate Cherry False Spirea
A mammoth grower, Mighty Chocolate Cherry Astilbe tops out at a whopping 45″ tall. Fluffy cherry red flower plumes top deep green ferny foliage with rich chocolate-red hues. Striking as a shady hedge or focal point. A top choice for containers, cut flowers, and the back of the border. One of the largest Astilbes available. It looks lovely in shady woodland gardens. It’s fantastic in formal beds, cottage, pollinator, and cutting gardens.
Astilbe works well massed or grouped in shady gardens. Spectacular landscapes can be created by using them in serpentine patterns. With its strong contrasting foliage Astilbe and Hosta planted together are a match made in heaven. Astilbe attracts butterflies and other pollinators. Deer and rabbits leave Astilbe alone.
Plant in shade to part shade locations. For best blooming keep well watered especially when plants are setting up buds and blooming.
Offered in-house. Subject to availability.
