Anemonella thalictroides – Rue Anemone
A delightful Missouri native, Rue Anemone, Anemonella thalictroides, charms us with white or soft pink dainty flowers and soft, three lobed leaves. An excellent, spring woodland plant, it is at home in the shady garden. Plants go dormant in summer.
Rue Anemone is naturally at home in rich woodlands. Also know as Thalictrum thalictroides.
Plant in shade to part shade in soil that has been amended with organic matter. Keep well watered when plants are emerging and blooming. Plants will go dormant in summer heat and low water. They prefer moist soil when actively growing and blooming. Consistent watering will keeps plants around longer.
