Anemone Crispa Parsley Leaf Windflower
A unique and one-of-a-kind Anemone, Crispa Anemone brings attractive wavy, ruffly foliage similar to curly parsley, that is tipped in red. In late summer and fall 2′ tall airy wands of single, 3″ rich pink blossoms appear over its mounds of ornamental leaves. Its fantastic foliage looks great all season. Deer and rabbits leave it alone, butterflies, bees and other pollinators often visit it. Referred to commonly as Parsley Leaf Windflower. A rare and cherished variety.
Crispa Anemone makes a fantastic container specimen, planted alone or with others. It looks beautiful in woodland settings and mixed with other shade perennials in cottage, cutting, and pollinator gardens. A well behaved variety that does not spread like others. Easy to grow.
Plant in shade to part shade in soil that has been amended with compost or other organic matter. Adding a starter fertilizer at planting will encourage rapid root growth. For best blooming keep consistently moist, especially when plants are setting up buds and blooming and during dry spells.
