Adenophora confusa Gaudi Violet Ladybells
This variety of Ladybells, Adenophora confusa, Gaudi Violet, brings tall stems of delightfully scented, bell shaped violet-blue flowers. Its stalks of drooping flowers create an elegant show. An extremely long blooming perennial, its blossoms appear for months from early summer into fall. This cultivar blooms heavily creating armloads of bouquets.
Gaudi Violet has beautiful, healthy, green foliage and a tight clumping habit. It makes a delightful, fragrant cut flower. Its exceptional long blooming period combined with its great habit make it a top choice for landscaping in borders and mass plantings, and for growing in containers or for cottage and cutting gardens. Ladybells attracts butterflies and hummingbirds into the garden while keeping critters such as deer away.
Plant in sun to part shade in soil that has been amended with compost or organic matter. Applying a starter fertilizer or a light application of liquid fertilizer when planting will boost root growth. We use Starter Plus Bio Tone Organic Fertilizer here. Keep consistently watered especially when plants are setting up buds, blooming, or during dry spells. Deadheading spent flowers will encourage more blooming.
Offered in-house. Subject to availability.
