Achillea – Pomegranate Yarrow
Brilliant, velvety scarlet flowers top Pomegranate Yarrow’s, Achillea, mounds of ferny foliage for a long time in summer. A robust grower that thrives even in the hottest days of summer. Its striking blossoms are held high over its ferny blue-green foliage. Pomegrante’s flowers make excellent cut and dried arrangements. Its ornamental foliage always looks good.
Use Yarrow in perennial beds, cut flower, cottage and pollinator gardens. They work well in containers with other blooming plants or on its own. Yarrow are easy to grow plants that thrive in high heat and humidity. They are deer resistant. Butterflies, hummingbirds and other pollinators adore their nectar. Yarrow makes beautiful cut flower bouquets.
Plant in full sun. Although tolerant of many soils and drought, for best results plant in soil that has been amended with compost and give deep soakings.
