Acer Seiryu, Japanese Maple
The only dissected Japanese Maple with an upright form, ‘Seiryu’ Acer palmatum var. dissectum, is highly prized for its showy leaves and unique form. Heavily dissected lacy leaves of a showy apple green adorn this slow growing upright tree. ‘Seiryu’ looks perfect as an accent in the garden or softening the corner of a house. In fall leaves turn bright red with purple tones. Slowly grows to 10-15′ tall and 6-8′ wide.
Plant in sun to part shade. Though heat tolerant benefits from a break from the hot afternoon sun.
