Baby Lace Lace Leaf Japanese Maple, Acer palmatum dissectum, is coveted for its showy dissected leaves and unique form. Small very finely dissected leaves emerge a pinkish red fading to a bronze-green. Fall color is more reddish with hints of pink and orange. A delicate looking Lace Leaf Japanese Maple, Baby Lace leaves have an airy, spider-like appearance. It remains quite dwarf growing only 3-4′ tall and 3′ wide.
Baby Lace makes a spectacular specimen in containers and in the landscape.
Plant in sun to part shade. Though heat tolerant benefits from a break from the hot afternoon sun.
