Acer Baby Lace, Japanese Maple
Baby Lace Japanese Maple, Acer palmatum, features adorably tiny lacy leaves that are half the size of normal lace-leafed Japanese Maples. Leaves emerge red-orange in spring before taking on an orange-green tone. In fall, leaves again transform to pinky-red.
This slow growing dwarf reaches about 2-3′ tall after 10 years. One for the collectors, Baby Lace Japanese Maple was the first lace-leafed witch’s broom to be discovered.
Plant in part shade. Morning sun with afternoon shade works well.
