Meet Horticulturist Nancy Scheidt

Nancy Scheidt Horticulturist Sugar Creek GardensNancy joined Sugar Creek in 2006 and wears many hats at the nursery. Her jobs include Manager, Plant Buyer, Plant Doctor, Speaker, and Garden Designer. 
She’s a regular on the Sugar Creek’s schedule of garden talks, offering tips on such topics as bee and butterfly gardens, fairy gardening, gardening under trees, combating pest and disease, deer and rabbit resistant plants, container designing and native gardening. 
Nancy enjoys helping customers diagnose problems with their garden, whether it be creating an appealing design or dealing with plant pests or disease. She particularly enjoys bee and butterfly gardens, plus fairy gardening, container designs and shade gardening.
Favorite plants include Nepeta, Boxwoods, Groundcover Roses, ‘Incrediball’ Hydrangea and many others.
