Gladiolus Elvira, Hardy Gladiolus

Gladiolus Elvira, Hardy Gladiolus

Enjoy armloads of cut flowers with Elvira Hardy Gladiolus. Soft baby pink blossoms accentuated by a deep pink blotch are held on delicate stems over sword-like foliage. They add considerable charm to gardens, mixed containers and summer bouquets. Unlike their tall flowering cousin, this Gladiolus has been proven to be winter hardy in zones 5 and above.

Plant bulbs 5″ deep, about 12″ apart in full sun. They are easy to grow in organically rich, moist, well drained soil. Mulch in winter. If given a good home, Hardy Gladiolus will naturalize.
